Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)

NTNU is the largest university of Norway with almost 40 000 students and 6 900 full-time equivalent staff. The university currently has campuses in Trondheim, Gjøvik and Ålesund, and has the main responsibility for higher education in technology in Norway. NTNU’s mission is to create knowledge for a better world.

NTNU is also an old university with roots dating back to 1767 when the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters was founded. This Society founded the Natural History Museum as well as the first library in Trondheim, both of which are part of NTNU today.
